Otakuzine Collection Contest

This are the photos that I upload in my blog to show that my picture with my Otakuzine Anime Magazine collections is in the Otakuzine Anime Magazine issue no. 83, stating that I am the winner of the monthly contest of “My Otakuzine Collection Contest”.

By the way this is how I join the contest (“My Otakuzine Collection Contest”).

I first learn that there will be a “My Otakuzine Collection Contest” when I get to buy the Otakuzine Anime Magazine issue no. 62. I read the promo page telling that Otakuzine Anime Magazine will be giving away gift packs to all those who would like to take part in the monthly promos! Just send a photo with your Otakuzine collection to their facebook account through PM (Private Message) and they will pick the month’s best photo. The winner will get a special Ozine gift pack courtesy of Otakuzine Anime Magazine.

At first I don’t want to join the “My Otaku Collection Contest” since I am content just collecting it ever since the first issue and up to present. When I take pictures of my magazines collections I don’t include myself on it  but later on I have decided to join the contest because I want to show everyone who reads Otakuzine and PSICOM Publishing my collections. After taking a picture of myself with my Otakuzine Magazine I upload the picture in my Facebook account and then send it through a private message in otakuzine Facebook account.  Then after a few months I was surprise to see my picture in the Otakuzine Anime Magazine issue no. 83 because I never expected to win but I am still happy and thankful for this kind of achievement. (By the way you might notice that I edit/cover my face and name in the picture and my only reason for doing it is to hide and keep my identity private as much as possible and I am also aware that you will know my face and name once you buy a copy of  Otaku Magazine Issue no. 83.)

To claim my prize I went to PSICOM Office at # 9 Yale St. Cubao Quezon City. I don’t know what is the prize because it’s not written in the magazine. When I arrive at PSICOM Office I talk to a staff and present the magazine with my picture as a proof that I win and be able to claim my prize. The prize that was given to me are the latest magazines of otakuzine in PSICOM.

Anime Picture Booklet

This is my Four (4)anime mini picture magazine but more likely a booklet for me, some of my collection about animes. I just take some pictures of it and scan it on my scanner for better viewing I guess so lol. Back to the picture Booklet/magazines, well actually I didn’t buy it this year because its been with me for almost seven (7) years because I started buying since 2005 and only during that year, after that I stop buying it. This is also my first magazine of all the magazines that I started collecting (that means to become more specific, I started buying this a few months before the Otakuzine magazine started publishing). If I’m not mistaken I still do recall that I was on my fourth year of High School at that time and there is a store but more likely a small shop that sells anime items like posters, laminated card, stickers, key chains, anime booklet, etc. and of course since I like collecting animes I buy anime booklets there. The first anime booklet that I buy is Sasuke and at that time it only cost P 30/each.  The reason that post it in my blog is because I want to keep its present quality because if you might notice by its appearance the pictures are not so good now since its kinda old now and I place it on my big organizer together with my other anime magazines (I don’t have a bookshelves and I don’t have plan on buying) and of course to share it with everyone through my blog.

Domo and Doraemon

Today I only make a paper toys of Domo and Doraemon. I am not really a super fan of this two anime characters but I still like them and I watch Doraemon before. I don’t know much about Domo-kun but I’m still attracted to its appearance and popularity too.

Team 8, Team 10 and Team Guy

Today I finally completed making the paper toys of  Sir Azuma Sarutobi the jōnin teacher of Team 10. Team Asuma, also known as Team 10, is a generation in the Ino–Shika–Chō Trio (いの しか ちょうトリオ, Ino–Shika–Chō Torio). As such, the three team members (Shikamaru, Choji and Ino) are good friends and have exceptional team work, although they tend to bicker from time to time. All three members of Team 10 are skilled at stalling opponents. They were led by Asuma until his death in Part II. I also  make the paper toy of Kurenai, the jōnin teacher of Team Kurenai, also known as Team 8, is a ninja team led by Kurenai Yūhi. Its members are Kiba Inuzuka, his ninken Akamaru, Hinata Hyūga, and Shino Aburame. The team specializes in tracking and locating through the Hyūga clan’s Byakugan, the Aburame clan’s bugs, and the Inuzuka clan’s dog as well as Kiba’s own heightened sense of smell.  And lastly that I made are from the Team Guy, Neji Hyūga and Tenten. I already post some information about Team Guy before so I will just write some information about Neji and Tenten. Neji Hyūga is a jōnin-level shinobi of Konohagakure’s Hyūga clan and a member of Team Guy. Tenten is a chūnin-level kunoichi of Konohagakure and member of Team Guy. Well I guess thats all for now but maybe next time I will make Tsunade and Jiraiya and the Ramen Ichiraku together with its owner Teuchi and his daughter Ayame.

Team Guy and Sand Siblings

I made today another anime paper toys of the popular Anime NARUTO. the paper toys that I made are four (4) only. The  Team Guy which are Sir Guy and Rock Lee, but actually its incomplete because I haven’t made Neji Hyūga and Tenten yet (but of course I promise to make them soon so the Team Guy will be complete). Aside from the Team Guy I also included the Sand siblings of Sunagakure , but actually I have made Gaara before and then Temari and Kankuro, it’s just that I don’t have the time to take picures and upload them (I have made the Sand Sibling since last year which is technically last 2011). But anyways  the important thing now is I have  uploaded it now in my blog.

Just for some more information

Team Guy is a team led by Might Guy and was formed a year before the other main Konoha teams of the series. They specialize in close-quarters combat with all of its members using some sort of physical attacks. Guy waited a year before entering them in the Chūnin Exams.

The Sand Siblings is the collective name for the children of Sunagakure‘s Fourth Kazekage: Temari, Kankurō and Gaara. Having underwent the gruelling training of their village, these three were  regarded as élite shinobi of their village that excel in long-range combat.

ANIME Recommendations Magazine

ANIME Recommendations Magazine are my new added anime magazine collection, and another product of Otakzine Anime Magazine that I’ve collected since December 2005 up until now. Well back to the main topic, this three magazines are from volume 1 number 10,11 and 12. Sorry but I don’t have the earlier issue of this magazines such as volume 1 number 1-9 because ever since this magazine was been published and out in the market(I mean the book/magazine shop, SM Malls, National Book store, Toy Kingdom etc.) I didn’t really pay attention on this type of magazines until just yesterday when I went to BOOK SALE store in SM City Fairview that I saw this three (3) old issue magazines being sell for worth one hundred pesos only!(P100), and of course when I saw this kind of   offer I didn’t think twice and buy it because its real price is eighty-five pesos (P85/each) per magazine. And of course I like reading anime magazines the most. Regarding on this type of magazines, it has the same size of my Otakuzine but its contents is quite different because from the name itself ANIME RECOMMENDATIONS this magazine tackles anime stories/show that feature genres like Shounen, Comedy, Drama, Fantasy, Action, Sci-fi, Adventure, Shoujo, Slice of Life, Mecha, Sports etc. Each page has one anime that makes the magazine have a lots of anime article to recommend to its reader. I found it nice and helpful because it serves as my anime reference when I am looking for some new anime that I want to watch. Although I started buying it doesn’t mean I will also collect all of its series because I am only doing that on my OTAKUZINE MAGAZINE, but perhaps if I there’s another promo on this magazine I guess WHY NOT? LoL.

Sasuke

This is the pictures of my new  paper toys. I made it a few months ago (actually last 2011) but I haven’t uploaded it yet in my blog until tonight. The anime characters this time are from the popular anime show of Naruto. I have made the young Naruto and Sasuke  and the rest is their teenage figure. The characters aside from Uzumaki Naruto  and Uchiha Sasuke are Haruno Sakura, Hatake Kakashi, Sai from team 7 of Konoha; Nara Shikamaru, Akamici Choji, Ino Yamanaka from team 10 (I haven’t made Asuma Sarutobi but I promise to  make it soon); Hyuuga Hinata, Shino Aburame, Kiba Inuzuka and Akamaru from Team 8 ( I haven’t made Kurenai Yuhi yet too); Gaara, Kankuro, and Temari are the Sand siblings.

I like watching Naruto and reading its manga. But more likely I like Sasuke and Sakura more than Naruto who is actually the main character of the story but don’t get me wrong because I do like him too but not as the same as Sasuke and Sakura (Sorry to the fans of Uzumaki).  There are also a lot of interesting characters of the show too and I’m sure everyone will agree on me about this.

Well now this are all the paper toys for now that I have made but I will surely make Asuma Sarutobi, Kurenai Yuhi, Team Guy and some other characters too next time when I have free time.

Doraemon

This is my paper toy of Doraemon. Its pattern is not a box type paper toy but its likely the same on my earlier work on Straw hat pirates. Doraemon is a robotic cat who travels back in time from the 22nd century to aid a schoolboy, Nobita Nobi. The stories are formulaic, usually focused on the everyday struggles of fifth grader Nobita, the protagonist of the story and it’s really an entertaining anime show for children. I like watching it before when I was in elementary level but when I started in high school  I stop and I hasn’t been able to watch all of its episodes though it’s not a big deal for me because I like Mojacko than Doraemon and unfortunately I can’t find a pattern to make a Mojacko paper toys. (But just to make it clear, I watch both Mojacko and Doraemon when I was a kid and I enjoy this two anime shows ; Aside from that is Mojacko is the first anime that I have watch and completed its all episodes that is why I like more Mojacko than Doraemon)

K-ON!

This is my K-ON! paper toys that I made. It’s still a box type paper toys but the size is a little smaller than my earlier box type paper toys (which is the Kaichou wa maid-sama paper toys). Aside from that I also include their musical instrument and I specially made their stage to make it more look like a band. Yui Hirasawa is the air-headed lead guitarist and vocalist of the Light Music Club. Ritsu Tainaka is a drummer. She proclaims herself as the president of the light music club. Mio Akiyama is the bassist and second vocalist of the light music club (actually she is my favorite character in this anime show). Tsumugi Kotobuki is a wealthy cheery cute girl with a gentle personality who plays the keyboard in the light music club. And lastly is Azusa Nakano is the group’s rhythm guitarist and the youngest member of the Light Music Club.

Kaichou wa Maid-sama!

This is the two main character paper toys of the anime Kaichou wa Maid-sama!  that I made last September 2011. The Blond guy wearing a school uniform is Usui Takumi and the woman wearing a maid outfit is Ayuzawa Misaki. Making this kind of paper toys is more easier compared to the earlier paper craft toys that I made ( which are the Straw hat Pirates and Thousand Sunny in the anime One Piece) because it’s a box-type paper toys and is small too.  I used a white board paper to print its picture  and then I cut it with scissor and cutter, ( I use a cutter to cut some whole parts that will connect the body parts of the paper toy) and lastly I glue it. Actually this is my first time to make a box-type paper toys and I really like the outcome of its action figure because it’s so cute.
